DESCRIPTION:This workshop equips child care educators with the knowledge and practical tools needed to prepare for\, respond to\, and recover from emergencies and natural disasters. Participants will review regulatory requirements and best practices related to emergency planning\, evacuation procedures\, lockdowns\, severe weather events\, power outages\, and other unexpected situations. \nThe session will explore how to develop and implement effective emergency policies\, conduct drills\, maintain communication with families\, and ensure the safety and well-being of children and staff during high-stress events.
