This 8-part series is designed for all types of early childhood educators and informs participants about trauma and its impact on children and their families. These workshops will equip child care providers with the tools to access your own experience with trauma and better serve children and families in your care. All types of child care providers are welcome!
Participants will learn about trauma and the impact of trauma and traumatic stress on children’s development and learning. You will be introduced to trauma-informed early childhood practices that support children’s healing and resiliency. Participants will also learn about the use of the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES) index to understand their own background with trauma. A catered lunch will be provided. Trauma 101 is the prerequisite required for most of the other trainings.
