Guidelines For Guest Bloggers
Last Updated: Feb 14, 2017 As a community-based organization, we welcome submissions from our village. Please read the following guidelines before submission. If you have any questions, please email email@example.com.
We accept topics related to BANANAS’ mission: partnering with parents and child development professionals to raise happy, confident children. We will not accept submissions that are self-promotional. We gladly accept submissions from organizations that we are partnering with on a particular project or program.
- Acceptable topics include, but are not limited to:
- Parenting Support
- Child Care Best Practices
- Supporting Quality in Early Childhood Education
- Issues and Current Events Affecting Parents and Child Care Providers in our Community
- Personal Stories from Clients and Program Beneficiaries
- Caring for Children with Disabilities
Our audience is parents and child care providers caring for children. It also extends to lawmakers, nonprofit organizations serving young children, and donors.
Blogs should be between 300-800 words. Please be concise in your writing.
Write in an easy-to-understand, friendly way. We will accept posts written in English, Spanish, Chinese, and Vietnamese. Please keep titles short and simple. We will allow up to 3 links in your post. Please cite all statistics or recent events. We will not accept links to product promotion or sales of products. Nor shall links include self-promotion. If you are writing a post based off of experience with BANANAS or based on the knowledge you gained from BANANAS, please cite relevant links from our social media accounts and/or website.
All submissions will be edited by our communications team. We reserve the right to make any edits we deem necessary. We will notify you of all edits before publishing the post.
Images & Cross Posting
We will not accept images from guest bloggers. When cross posting, please make sure that you have permission in writing and forward that permission to our team. At the bottom of your post, it must say, “This piece was originally published by Name of Original Blog on mm/dd/yy.”
Blog submissions are welcome to be republished on the author’s own blog or on a partner blog that the author agrees to. If bananasbunch.org was the first place the post was published, please include a hyperlinked tag that says, “This piece was originally posted on www.bananasbunch.org on mm/dd/yy.”
BANANAS is unable to pay for guest blogs.
BANANAS retains the right to republish blogs in any of our other publications. We reserve the right to decline to publish a submitted blog for any reason. We will not accept topics that are discriminatory or offensive. If several blogs are submitted at once, we reserve the right to stagger publication.
