El contenido principal del plan de estudios de capacitación en seguridad y salud preventiva (excluyendo RCP pediátrica y primeros auxilios) está organizado en tres módulos. Módulo 1: Prevención de Enfermedades Infecciosas; Módulo 2: Prevención de Lesiones; y Módulo 3: Nutrición. El plan de estudios se utiliza para capacitar a proveedores de cuidado infantil que son nuevos en el campo o profesionales experimentados en educación y cuidado infantil que están tomando el curso para actualizar sus conocimientos y asegurarse de que estén actualizados.  Este plan de estudios contiene el contenido de nutrición y prevención del envenenamiento por plomo requerido para la obtención de una licencia de cuidado infantil.  \nEsta formación se divide en 2 sesiones de cuatro horas de 9am a 1pm.
