Alameda County is opening in phases. Check the current status on the Alameda County Department of Public Health website to determine what activities are permitted. BANANAS follows the guidance of the Alameda County Department of Public Health. We do our best to keep our database updated with the current status of child care programs. Online Referrals

For child care programs in Oakland, Berkeley, Albany, Emeryville, Piedmont, and Alameda please fill out the child care referral search form below. Child care searches can be done by: age of the child, type of program, hours of care, and area of care needed. Referrals include the name of the program, telephone number, license number, and additional information about the child care program.

Parents have the right to get information about any substantiated or inconclusive complaints about any licensed child care provider by calling the California Department of Social Services at 844-538-8766. You can also perform a facility search on their website. This site contains five years’ worth of information on child care programs including inspection reports. Never rely on this information alone to make a decision about a facility. Always visit facilities in person to ensure that it meets your family’s needs.
