Preventing Compassion Fatigue Through Self-Care

This workshop will support participants in understanding their own experiences with trauma and how this can impact their current work with children. Reviewing ACES Scores and ACES study, participants will review their own score privately and explore how their histories with trauma may impact their response to children and families who are experiencing traumatic stress. The discussion will also include compassion fatigue, the importance of self-care, and strategies that support working with high-need children and families.
