Introduction to Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health, 3/25/24, 6-8 PM: This two-hour interactive training introduces the key concepts and foundational practices of infant and early childhood mental health and the factors that impact healthy development. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with each other in small group discussions to share their personal experience and reflections on the topic of infant and early childhood mental health. Topics include • exploring the body and brain connection, • factors that impact infant and early childhood mental health, • defining and introducing the ideas of promotion, prevention, and intervention, and • highlighting the role of Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation as a support to build the capacity of program staff and care providers to foster the social, emotional, and relational health and well-being of young children and the adults who care for them.
