Oakland Unified School District (OUSD) Board of Directors Candidates Forum

Introduce school board candidates to FCCs and educate them on how their decisions impact FCC businesses, children, and families.
The Oakland Family Child Care Policy Program invites all Oakland early childhood educators / child care providers to participate in an Oakland Unified School District (OUSD) Board of Directors Candidates Forum.
School Board candidates will share their perspectives on these topics:
– School closures and the impact on Oakland’s children
– OUSD partnership with child care providers for school readiness
– Opportunities for providers to become part of OUSD’s teacher pipeline
– The impact of Universal Transitional Kindergarten (UTK) on child care businesses
– This is an opportunity for providers to learn about the school board, make informed decisions as voters, and uplift child care provider perspectives with OUSD leadership.
