PITC Course: Infant-Toddler Social-Emotional Growth & Socialization

This course focuses on the Program for Infant/Toddler Care (PITC) approach to infant/toddler care and, specifically, how to support healthy social-emotional development in group care settings. The course includes an exploration of early brain development, responsive caregiving, temperament, social-emotional development, and socialization and guidance with infants and toddlers.
This virtual course will includes 20 hours of training, ten (10) 2-hour training sessions from August 2024 to January 2025, as well as technical assistance support. Dates for all tranings are as follows 8/21, 9/4, 9/18, 10/2, 10/16, 12/4, 12/11, 12/18, 1/8, 1/15. All trainings are evening trainings from 6:30pm-8:30pm.
This course is available for one (1) semester unit through California State University Fresno’s Division of Continuing and Global Education. The cost of the one (1) unit is $75. The course can also be taken at no cost for professional development hours.
