Teaching Math Skills in Early Childhood

This training focuses on the importance of early math knowledge and skills.
It is well known that during the first 5 years a child’s brain goes through a critical period of learning and growth. Children begin to develop early math concepts and skills at a very early age and it is important to provide meaningful opportunities in order for them to have better school readiness outcomes and a strong sense of mathematical thinking. This training focuses on the importance of Early math knowledge and skills, the content areas of math, and activities and strategies to support children build math skills. Taking this class makes FFNs eligible for the First 5 Quality Counts stipend.
