Welcoming Diverse Families in Early Learning: LGBTQIA+ Headed Households

We will explore the state of LGBTQIA+ -headed households participating in early childhood and elementary programs.
Each year more children are welcomed into LGBTQIA+ headed households. Programs and teachers must design and embrace practices that welcome all families. Many practices are simple; others take time and effort through ongoing program development. We will explore the state of LGBTQIA+ -headed households participating in early childhood and elementary programs and what we can do to support young children and their families when they enter our programs.
